The mission of my teaching studio is to provide accessible and high quality instruction to young percussionists looking to have a career in the arts. Percussion performance takes shape in a wide variety of forms including orchestras, wind ensembles, and marching bands. My goal is to help my students feel prepared for any musical circumstance they might find themselves in.
My instruction addresses these needs by:
Providing an understanding of various ensemble responsibilities
Coachings on historical and accurate performance practices
Developing a deep understanding of what it means to be a musician.
My teaching aims to provide the highest quality of musical instruction that implements techniques and musicality into various professional settings.
My teaching methodology provides young musicians with the skills needed to advance in the highly competitive world of music. My instruction prioritizes developing in-depth techniques that focus on sound quality and musicality. Through thousands of hours of practice, performance, and auditions, I have gained the insight needed to allow me to provide an extremely effective way of conveying the discipline and techniques needed to succeed as a musician.
I teach a wide variety of instruments, primarily focusing on Snare Drum, Timpani, Xylophone, and Marimba. In addition, I also teach various accessory instruments including Tambourine, Triangle, Cymbals, Bass Drum, etc.
